Dear Guillermo,
“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.”
Philippians 1:3. You and all the wonderful staff
at CCM were so kind and gracious to our group of
Senior Citizens while we were there in May.
Thank all of you for being so patient and
helpful to us. We will never forget the time we
spent there and the precious people we met,
especially the children. The trip changed my
heart for missions forever.
I would like to tell you the story about the
enclosed donation ($350) for the children of
Nicaragua. My husband Bill and I have a
granddaughter, Christy, and her husband Eddie
Hopkins who live in Texas. They have three
children, Edwin 8, Ena 5, and Erin 1. Christy
home schools the 8 and 5 year olds. While we
were on the mission trip she taught them about
the country of Nicaragua. When we returned she
shared with them about our trip and things we
did and saw. Their little hearts were so touched
by the living conditions of the people in the
Barrios that they wanted to do something to help
the children there. They had saved some money to
take a special trip and both of them decided to
give it all to help the children. Christy and
Eddie matched the amount they gave. Also, Edwin
decided that all he wanted for his birthday was
money for the children of Nicaragua. I thank God
that our great grandchildren have an unselfish
heart for those who are less fortunate than
they. I'm sure you remember the two little boy's
that we met while delivering food bags in the
Barrio Emmanuel II. They had no mother and their
father was at work. They had to stay alone
everyday. Their names were Jose and Hosea. You
led in prayer for them. They touched our hearts
so much that we would like for this money to go
to help them in some way if possible. If not,
please use the money for other children that are
in need. I am enclosing a photograph of Christy
, Eddie, and the children. If possible, please
send a picture of the children that are helped.
It would be wonderful for Edwin and Ena to be
able to see the children's faces. We are so
grateful for all of you and your heart for the
people of Nicaragua. May God continue to bless
your ministry. We always keep you in our
prayers.
